Strapping bands
Due to its low cost and ease of use, strapping (PP, PET, METAL) is an ideal packaging solution for the most varied sectors in industry and craft fields. The strapping band is an economical material designed for both light and high (depending on its composition) duty unitizing, palletizing and bundling. The product can achieve high levels of fastening, guaranteeing maximum reliability and tightness. Due to its elastic property it exerts a constant force over time. The surface can be smooth or embossed. It is available in various widths, thicknesses and polymer variations (e.g., copolymers). It can be used on both automatic and semi-automatic machines as well as hand tools with vibration welding or metal seal.

Poliflex complete polypropylene strapping range is available in a range of widths, colors and thicknesses. Special colors are available subject to a minimum order quantity.
Tensium polyester strap is available in wide range of widths, colors and thicknesses. It can be utilized from the lightest applications (for example strapping of construction tiles) up to the most demanding heavy cold applications in the aluminum and steel industry (where the package surface temperature is below 90 °C/190 °F).
Steel straps used in heavy-duty applications that require high strength, high impact resistance and excellent ductility. Manufactured from special medium-carbon and high-manganese steel coils, it is specially heat treated through a patented process.

How do I select the right strap for my application?
It depends on a lot of factors. However some general guidelines are :
- Steel strap is reserved for heavy loads, strapping high temperature loads (where plastic would melt) and for loads with sharp edges.
- Polypropylene is used for lighter loads, lots of bundling and carton closing
- Polyester is used for heavier pallets, tight non-compressible loads, like bricks, and as a replacement for steel.

I already wrap my pallets. Why do I have to strap them?
Stretch wrapping offers good protection for your product and side retention, but has little impact on keeping your product firmly on the pallet. Strapping provides vertical retention and keeps your load firmly on the pallet.
